JDS Motoring Review

mods, please move this into the proper section <3

First time I heard about this place was from a dear friend of mine and an organizer of the infamous "Nissan Meets". For the past 4 years, I have been to just about every shop in New Jersey doing everything from simple installs, routine maintenance, clutch jobs, and larger bolt-ons. I've seen Jas Virdee multiple times before-hand at meets with his eye-popping track prepped orange 350z, but we never really spoke. After some issues arose where some shops couldn't pinpoint a particular issue with my clutch, I decided to give JDS a try because I really wanted to fix the DD and felt like I didn't have much to lose by testing new waters. Afterall, if I didn't like it I have the option of another place right? Jas immediately recognized me from meets and welcomed me with open arms even though we really never really interacted in the past. I had a clutch job done with him and swapped out my current magnus with an AMS cmc because I felt that after 2 of them, the Evo9 rod still wasn't interacting right in the X as it should. The install went very smoothly and immediately I noticed a difference in terms of pedal height (magnus threaded all the way up sat dead even with the brake which isn't normal.) And it drove fine this time. Jas explained to me carefully everything else that was found wrong with previous installs. Intake was not put on properly. Motor-mounts loose. Bell housing from previous clutch job was only finger tight. Past clutch wasn't torqued properly causing a irregular warping of flywheel and clutch itself, ACT Flywheel was resurfaced which in particular ACT flywheels shouldn't be resurfaced. Brake light clip was hanging and not functioning properly. And one of my wheels was put on irregularly which could of been fatal if I hit a bump at high speeds. I'm sure I missed a handful of other things. I had a small tour of the shop and saw a few cars including Evos with oil dripping, motors pretty much blown with multiple parts failures, and other defects that were found after the drivers decided to ditch their current tuners and bring their cars to JDS. The sight wasn't pleasant after personally having a look at all the damage and other things such as poor welding.

Overall himself, his father, and his entire crew of Will & Dave which worked on my car were also very patient and legit stand-up funny & knowledgeable guys. I don't really know too much about cars, I admit it, but non of them ever called me an idiot when I was trying my best to describe the situation with the wrong terminology lol. The car shifts like butter and they even washed my wheels. I'm still trying to get used to "normal" biting point as I am used to something way higher off the ground in travel. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend them. I definatley will be going back there for my turbo install, future installs, and a road tune since I need to get rid of my rev hang.
