what wheel adapter bolt pattern would you buy? (offers most options/choices)

so my saab has a 5x110 bolt pattern and while there are some ok wheels out there, it doesnt offer much. so i've been thinking about grabbing some wheel adapters to open up the options.

so, what bolt pattern offers the most/best options of wheels?

edit: stock wheel options, could always have aftermarket wheels custom drilled.

Seems like you should just look for the wheels you want and then buy the appropriate adapter.

then im stuck with that bolt pattern if i sell the wheels and want to switch it up.

that's why im asking what bolt pattern offers the most choices. if im dropping the $300+ i want to have plenty of options for future wheels.

if i found a certain set i liked, i could always just have them custom drilled and there would be no need for the adapters.

I didn't realize you planned on changing wheels often.

5 X 114.3mm will probably get you the most choices.

my fault, should have given a little more detail in the first post. im not looking for a permanent set, but also not looking to change them up every week either.

i just see wheels pop up for sale on here and other forums that are relatively "cheap" or i think would look good, but never match up to my 5x110.

i edited my first post to say i was looking more for the variety of stock wheel options, because like i mentioned, i could always have aftermarket wheels custom drilled.

This. Unless you want VW options, and even VW guys get different patterns.

so i found a set that will match my 5x110 and is for 5x114.3.

the only confusion i have, since i havnt really done much research, is these have studs coming off them, where my car takes bolts.

will i run into trouble if i grab them with studs or is this common/standard with adapters and ill just have to get the nuts to mount the wheels?

also, they were custom made, so no real brand. he says they were custom machined from high strenght billet at a machineshop, again being a noob with this stuff, is that reliable/trusworthy?

They should be fine. When I ran spacers on my old 240 they had stud built into them. The spacers came with nuts that went over my OEM studs and the spacer studs became the studs for the wheels to bolt onto. Never had a problem with my spacers when I ran them.

Those adapter spacers aren't even hubcentric, so thats not good. Plus your gonna have to account for that offset change of 20-30mm for the spacer, you want to measure stud now. When using a spacer adapter on a wheel that is not the same size you will not have those little grooves on the back of the wheel to tuck the studs in the cirrect space so you will need to make sure the spacer thickness is greater than the stud length.

Also, you can have wheels filled and drilled. It's not cheap and you have to re-coat, but the end result is best.
