Warning skyline owners - they are being seized again

Just warning to the guys with the gray market cars. We just had a member on Nico have a car taken by homeland security in February, and just today there is another one being taken.

These are the skylines that get titled through Florida without a US vin. They do not have a US customs bond release, or federally legal title. Typically the 14-25K skylines we all love. It kind of sucks.

It's pathetic to think we are paying tax dollars to have these douche bags seizing cars as if they were bags of cocaine. This whole "Homeland Security" bull**** is such a crock of ****.

It's absolutely ridiculous to think about the amount of money and resources that are being used to combat this issue. It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper for the government to conduct their required testing on these cars and legalize them finally instead of spending countless dollars on investigations, seizures, etc. There are so many more important things to worry about in this country and all they can do is concentrate on such a petty problem.

I 100% agree, this countries priorities are completely screwed up, and so are the legal systems

Good.

Buy them the legal way or wait until there 25 years old and import them that way.

Actually this vehicle siesed yester was legal. It conformed to all of the federal and epa laws and was well documented. If you read the artical you will be shocked. This car is one of the ones that was actually federally legal, but they still took it.

I don't understand the law. Any Skyline is safer than my deathtrap. It makes no sense that we can't have Skylines here.

But there is no solid proof of its crash worthiness. It sucks, but yea it's the law.

Actually there was for certain R33 models, but they have lifted this due to a certain company.

still frustrates me. the government freaks over the skylines, chasers, mark 2s etc. anything rhd and japanese is illegal. let the cars come in, fix the ****ing economy first, fix the terrorism issue, fix the illegal immigration, fix drugs! but no, the govt has a stick up thier ass and needs to spend taxpayers money on confiscating people's dreams

this is such bulls*** I love skylines so much theyre amazing and 1000x more safe than the hoopdie cars i see rolling around without doors, a hood, bumbers, lights, a horn, seatbelts, plastic bags for windows, and not to mention the cars that roll around on doughnuts for 7 months.

I just dont understand why we have to have rules where we cant legally have certain cars in this country. I mean seriously we could be making money off of them. But then if they were allowed, it wouldnt be viewed as rare like it is. Our country is looking to waste time and money on stupid **** when we have far worse problems

I read about this earlier today... it's pretty messed up....

I don't expect to see any Skylines at the Sonic meet, let alone anymore spotted threads :'(

Hopefully the ones that are specifically track cars and "unknown" will remain safe.
