Best Beginner Camera?!

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

First off I personally don't even own a "good" camera. Unless you count my iphone as a camera .

My max price is $400-$450.

These are my options, I would appreciate any response or help in purchasing a new camera.

1. Nikon - Coolpix 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black

2. Nikon - Coolpix S8000 14.2-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black

3. Canon - PowerShot 12.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black

4.?

5.?

As you can tell I haven't researched this much yet but I want to purchase the camera before HIN/NOPI on saturday.

I jsut recently got a Sony alpha 230 for $380 bucks brand new. Its been a great camera for me.

this way you still get to change lenses if you want to, are on a pretty tight budget (like I was) and It can take quality pictures if you learn more about exposure etc just like with ANY camera.

If just point and shoot i would agree with G10 above, and there are still attachment for it too.
