I really need to invest in a quality digital camera. I love photography and have for years, so now that I'm done school maybe I'll get back into it as a hobby. It must be a family thing...my one cousin just graduated last year from art school, and another cousin is currently at Brooks Institute of Photography out in Santa Barbara. I'll try to find some low quality pics I have, but I think they're all on my computer at school.

The first one won third place in my high school's art show, and yes, that's a Saturn intake. The second one was taken in Montreux, Switzerland, on my friend's Fuji FinePix digital camera (I resized it though, hence the pixelation). Both are un-photoshopped, and the first one I actually developed myself.

Thats a great shot... and i'm picky. I looked through your gallery and there are a lot of interesting photos in there. Do I remember reading in another thread that you arent even old enough to drive? If so then I'm really really impressed. If not then I'm still impressed.

Agreed, I thought I remembered that too but after seeing your photos I thought there was no way. I've seen many photography majors that shoot photos not even close to your level. Very impressed. And great idea on the thread :thumbup:

Thanks there Bryan. Yeah, Im only 15 and just bought my first SLR camera in July, which was a Canon 350D. Thanks for the comments guys!

Who are you referring to? I believe the person who started the thread turns 16 this month, but clearly has enough talent to go somewhere with it. The only other person so far in the thread that does it "professionally" is Troll, who went to school for it and does freelance work.

Some of you guys are great. I've don't take many photos. Mostly ones of my models and RC's when I can. Want to get a Digital SLR, but kind of expensive.

Probably the best two I've taken. There old. First is towards end of summer. Second is a year or two old.

this is a good test because of the square subject i was shooting but may not represent actual shooting conditions where a lot of the time your subject will not be so square. i think the correction software will be helpful to me from time to time although its not perfect.

On the pictures from Sebring and Road Atlanta all the cars have three little lights in a row. When lit they kinda resemble biohazard symbols. What are they for.

Those represent the place the car is in. Each class has a different color light. (GT1, GT2, LMP1, LMP2) 1st lit - 1st place, 1st and 2nd lit - 2nd place, 1st through 3rd lit - third place.

Its always good to have people to share the driving with, and keep ya awake. Drive straight through the night. Fun times. Awesome, I will do that. We made a similar (went to FL) trip last year, the drive actually wasn't to bad. We left here at like 8pm and drove straight through the night...fun times!

sounds about right to me:thumbup: it made going to the top of a mountain a 2 hour drive. they want to keep the roads as flat as possible going up

I don't know where either of those places are.

Spring Lake is the easiest to find. You take 29N to 95N to 138 to 16th street in Belmar and make a right. Stay on that until it dead ends and then make a right. (heh...make sure you go the speed limit I got pulled over for going 38 in a 25!). Stay straight until you come to this big curve with a parking lot. That is where I usually go off season

To get to the "dog beach" at the Manasquan Inlet, get off the GSP at the Belmar exit and follow the road to the first right onto Rt. 138 (also #38). The GSP exit to Belmar is 6 miles on #138. Stay to the right, and make a right onto Rt. 35 when 138 ends. (If you make a mistake and go over the bridge over #35 it's no big deal and you can easily find your way . . . honest!) So turn toward the right to the first traffic light. There's a KFC and Burger King on the right, a Dunkin Donuts and Foodtown on the left corner and a bank on the opposite corner. Turn left at this first traffic light. You will be on 18th Avenue. Go to the first traffic light. You will see Matt's fruit and flower market across the street. Turn right onto #71 and follow that for about 7 miles into the town of Manasquan. You will know the center of town when you are at an intersection with a food store on the left, an ebay sale company on the right, and the town hall and gas station on opposite corners. Go through this light into Brielle. You will pass Dickson's Plumbing Company on the right, Carlson's glass company also on the right, and when you see Piancone's Restaurant on the left you will turn left at the very next street, Fisk. This will take you to the ocean, but after you cross the little draw bridge you will see a sign indicating an intersection --
a + -- and you will turn right on that street. Follow it to the end and on the right you will see signs for parking (they charge) and the small ranger's house at the beach. You should be able to see people down along the inlet and you can park anywhere on the street where you can get a space.
Don't forget to check the tides and come when it's high.

I'm going back to the dyno in a few weeks. I should hit over a 400 on pump. I dynoed during the week we had that heat wave and it was 105 degrees outside. I'm sure it was even hotter inside the dyno room. I'm going to up the boost by a pound or two and do some more tuning when I go back. Then I want to a race gas tune.
