i may need to stop for gas before the 3/4 mark. i'm expecting around 13-14 mpg lol but i'll keep ya'll apprised of my fuel situation if need be

I am guessing you will need 93. There aren't many places to stop but I am sure we can do something. Also keep in mind that you will actually get better gas millage than you think. Most of the morning is in 3rd gear and no gas. The first time me and Don did this I got 30mpg+. I use about a 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank for the whole run and I get around 20mpg or so normally (~275miles per tank).

amazingly... if need be... i can use 87. there are different tunes in the computer for lesser grade gasoline. but i'd rather not go below 91. i can get decent gas mileage if we're tooling around in 3rd gear though.

It is passed 10 anyways. But Criz won't be able to go. He was my co-pilot and couldn't make it.

I am definitely still in. Took the wagon for a short test run tonight and i ccannttt wait to get moving tomorrow. I still have a little rubbing in the rear. but I have to wait to get a new lug key to do anything. Mechanic today stripped the hell out of the key. oh well! See y'all in the morning.

Brakes were bled
Brake pad thickness was checked
Lug nuts were retorqued
fluid levels were checked
car was cleaned
snacks and beverages were purchased

Looks like I'm ready to go. I just have to pick up my passenger and maybe I'll give the car a quick wash.

Thanks to everyone that had a hand in planning this. It was a fun day.

Now Melissa wants a Mystichrome Cobra. I'm amazed she didn't start humping the car. She has to learn to drive a manual transmission first. *waits for someone to reply with a joke about her handling their stick*

I had a strange experience on one of the first of the steeper hills. I felt something "crawing" up my left thigh and knew it couldn't be Melissa because her arms aren't that long and she was postign soemthing on facebook about not wantign to die. Then I remembered that I took a walk in the woods shortly before that at the first stop. I thought maybe some small woodland creature attached itself to my pants leg and I was a bit nervous at that point. It ends up the thing crawling up my leg was the $1.50 in change from my two Wawa purchases climbing out of my pocket due to the acceleration uphill. If it was a small woodland creature, that may not have ended well.

I want to thank everyone who came today for making this just another great run for me. Also a huge thanks to Cizin and Honest_Bob for again making sure this would all come together and thank you Tom Tom for not getting me lost except that one time that ended up being just about the best road of the day.

I am downloading and playing with the video that my dad took. It's a combo of Video Camera and his phone. I will play around with it and see what I can do. Last night, when I was trying to go to bed at 2am. The ONLY thing I could hear was Mark's Exhaust. . .thanks buddy ;)

Can't wait for the next run. Of which the my fenders will be rolled and I can actually run at 100%. Can't wait to see what Ryan is going to rip off of my wagon next time.

BTW I am uploading the mobile video's to photobucket now. I will just post them unedited. I still need to snag all the video from the camera. I think he took a little more than an hour of video. I will have to go through it and see whats going on. Anyone else take any photos or videos?

The quality isn't that bad. I had to laugh I can hear my exhaust for half a second before Marks exhaust is all you can hear lol

Yyeeaaahhh. That was basically all I heard all day. Except for the brief stint that we were behind you and Mark behind us. Hah, all we could do was laugh.
Side note, I finished snagging all the video from the camera (FYI I hate all things not digital). I have roughly 30GB's to watch and go through. I will probably just put some music to it, seeing as how all you could hear is a certain cars exhaust.

I saw a blur to the side in one video and wondered if it was the guy with the bicycle at the top of the mountain, then heard the comment about cigarettes and figured it must be him. He must have spent all day pedaling up there. :lol:

I noticed in one of the videos I watched that you can hear the pterodactyl noises from the SRT-4.

I can't wait to see the rest.

There will be a fall run this year. However I won't be leading it due to the dead WRX. Look for the post sometime tomorrow when I have the time and also be aware that it will be fairly limited in attendance.

As it stands it will more then likely be the last run of this type I will do. Gary is correct something is coming this spring and it's going to be big. I'm going to be busting my ass over the winter after the toys for tots meet to get it going and when it's all finalized I will be posting a date and all the information.

Well I can tell you that Chris B. has been doing legwork for me on finding us a date for summer to do a track day, most likely at Pocono. There will be a thread in the coming weeks to discuss intrest and have more details at that time. I was hoping to do it in the spring but between my dead car, wedding and house hunting I just don't see it going well.

I've made quite a bit of progress in the past week and Ender was sent some updated info. Hoepfully we will have some sign up info soon.

Its available in 720P HD. We ran two different track configurations last year at this event. One included most of the NASCAR Oval and the other was the doube infield course shown in the video.

Chris B. got in touch with Nasa for us and got us a discount for that day. So we are going to see about something similar in the spring.
