Building a car takes time for the parts to get here, should I fly to Japan and get them myself? You chose to buy an evo and i chose to buy a wrx, now what we do to our cars has nothing to do with us, people have different interests. Yeah, if I had an evo it would be built, nasty turbo kit, front lip and dumped on volks, that's it! Since I don't own an evo I went a different route since I have extra cash left over from the purchase, that is all...

i didnt say it wasnt a good deal, you made it seem like it is a fully built motor, or is it? im just assuming built 2.5 motors can handle over 600whp easily...

if your talking about robbo and his integra, i think (not 100%) he spent 15,000 on everything. car, turbo kit, cage, motor, etc.

I apologize for my assumption. It was based on "word" from kids in the surrounding area's which I should have questioned before hand. A basic 2.5L, as found in a stock sti, cannot handle no where near 600whp, 400whp tops with less life span. The motor I mentioned is your basic 2.5L shortblock which they lable as a "race" motor. It includes a fully-forged bottom end and a real tough block which should have no implications if pushed over 500whp. While this seems cheap it really isn't because keep in mind this is only the short block. I still need to re-use my heads after they are ported/polished along with the addition of possibly a set of JUN 272's. Not to mention the costs associated with assembling the block/motor and the actual install of the new motor. Actually, I might look into having Suave install/assemble my motor since he seems to be a real guru when it comes to major installations of this sort. Look, im not building a race car hear and have no intentions to, but someting with 500whp on 93 would be nice for street use. :wink:
