I'm looking to rebuild my ka24de before I boost it, is there anyone local (well, this is as local as I can get) that sells a good rebuild kit for a DECENT price. Honestly I love the $340-375 prices for the kids on ebay but I don't know if I really trust them...

and I don't have the coin/need to drop $1500 (:bigeek:) on the ross/weisco ones I'm finding...

My goals are pretty much slap a T25 on and maybe 10lbs of boost max. No real HP goals. I want a fun street car that I can drift now and then.

Anyone offer somethin like this?

1. the stock ka is fine for drifting.

2. do not put a t25 on a ka24de. you'll be slower than t25 sr's. that turbo is too little

the stock motor can hold up to 8lbs of boost the stock rods are good to 300hp so what i would do is slap a set of forged pistons and some arp rod bolts and some arp head studs and slap a garret gt28 its bigger than a t28 but will still spool quick and be all the fun that u need

please don't make statements like that. 8 psi off of a t25 is different than 8 psi off of a t3/to4e 57 trim, vs a gt3071r, vs a 60-1. psi does not equal psi, so don't make blanket statements like that. i'm pretty sure he can run more than 8 psi on a tiny t25 and be fine. the problem with t25 is that it's too small even for the sr20det and runs out of breathe well before redline. my boy hamid had on on his ka24de before he went rb25det and that turbo was just way too small.

I'll upgrade it later then if I'm really unhappy.

I'm looking more for the low-end boost anyways, as most of my driving is either short sprints or highway cruising.

Regardless I could just buy a new oil gasket, and turbo it now, but I'd rather just take the extra little step to insure that my engine doesn't go ka-put on me at any point in this.
