Mod list: Koni sport suspension dropping 1" all around, camber kits, strut bars, sway bars, rear tie bars (in the mail), '05 TSX wheels on 225x45, CAI, Remus Cat back, Type 2 Intake manifold out of a coupe, Upgraded Dinan Stage 2 ECU, hardwired Ipod to OEM bose. Putting 190 at the wheels through a horrid auto tranny

To come: Fully build 3.5 RL block with type 2 cams, Intake manifold should produce around 250ish hp and perhaps a air suspension.

Not all hondas have Vtec the legend has VIS on the Type II engines, I now have those components that make up the Type II. VIS is a system that opens up 2 additional (and equally sized) butterfly valves inside the Intake manifold @4500. This is coupled to bigger injectors, heads + cams, and a re-tuned ECU resulting in 30hp from the factory. I have never been in a honda equipped with vtec that hits harder. This sounds and feels like a cut out in your exhaust opening while simultaneously hitting a button for a 30 shot of nitrous.

This dyno at the wheels is with the type I, before I raided a type II and rebuilt my top end, so its close to 30hp less at the crank going through an auto tranny that looses close to 20% of its power. My favorite part of this is the fact that the power comes on at 1500rpm (measured here at 3500) and doesnt stop till redline of 6700

I'm a Honda kid now... wish I did it a long time ago!
Loving the car as a gas sipping daily :).
Had a frustrating crank position sensor issue but that should be all sorted out now.
Doing about 550 miles for my weekly work commute, took her camping last weekend, and headed to Boston this weekend for some photoshoots.
Cleaned up a few odds and ends on the car and have a few more to do, but all in all a very solid ride that should serve its purpose very well..

First gas fill up... I was more excited than I should have been (coming from my WRX that gets 20mpg highway on 93 octane for 550 miles per week). Averaging about 36 mpg on 87 octane +/- 2 mpg.

Luckily I was fine. I've read that a lot of people experience scratched/scuffed paint.

It was a pain to do- but I did most of it over winter.. I'm sure it would be easier in the warm weather.

No... I didn't haha. I took it off, washed it, put it back on... and then used my tire gel on it! :)
Worked great, I actually used it on the faded black plastic on the mirrors too (pretty much the same thing as back to black).

But it is kinda funny you mention it, because when I first got the mask it said not to wash it with it on and I got really confused, I thought: Isn't that what it supposed to protect it from?... the elements? Rain? haha And I did run it thru a touchless wash ONCE when I first got it and when I popped the hood afterwards to check on somethin unrelated... water dumped right onto my CAI, good thing the engine was off. lol

the lower part of the grill comes stock with that grey-ish color. The lower part of the bumper is actually a black vinyl overlay, otherwise from the factory it comes completely blue.

If you have any other colors incorporated in the engine bay or the interior, id say go with that for the caliper color.. but otherwise something with a DARK red, dark blue, or a graphite color would be smooth with the color of your car and the brightness of the rims... unless you got a Brembo B.B.K. behind those rims, make the rims the focal point, not the calipers ;)

Yeah i've got a color under the hood that I think I matched pretty well.... plan on giving it a try sometime this week.

I can't even find the Cherry Red paint anywhere now - they look good but I think it grabs too much attention lol. They're all stock calipers, a BBK wouldn't fit in my stock rims that I swap between :( But I'm considering doing a Legend dual piston caliper swap once I get a job. no unemployment FTL!

Go with the Eibachs! Teins are 2x as expensive, and don't drop the car as much or look as nice, IMO.
