I bought a motorcycle from a co-worker at my last job. He previously had a loan on the bike. He had the letter stating it was paid off and the title in hand. We did the title transfer and I got plates. Everything went smooth.

I just got a letter from PENDOT stating the title we signed was a duplicate. I need to get the owner of the bike to request a new title and redo the transfer. Also because of this my registration I'm assuming isn't valid anymore.

I cannot get ahold of the guy.

What options do I have?

why cant you get a hold of him? your going to have to work it out with penndot

He is gone for military service. I don't know how to contact him. PENDOT's website was horrible and I couldn't find any good info. I called a title transfer place and they were clueless. I'll do some more research and see what I can find out.
