Daytona 24 hr

so no post bout tha 24hr race this weekend? Granted i was a bit put off bout tha coverage! (thanks speed) but i hav tha internet and was able to watch timing and scoring!
I was a bit torn being a fan of Scott Pruett, I just cant get be JPM!! (cry baby) So i was pulling for Old NATCC driver David Donahue and tha Porsche!!
So yea porshce!! Another victory! In both classes no less!!
So ill be doing my homework to get tha whole race coverage of tha 24hrs of LeMan in June!! and i will be having a 24hr party for that as well!!

I'm a Gainsco fan. I got to meet Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty at NJMP last August (I also met Pruett and some of the other big names, but I just liked the 99 team). I was at a buddy's house getting heads and an intake for my car, so I missed the end of the race, but I recorded it on my computer and will watch it this weekend. Closest finish in race history and the top four cars were within 8 seconds of each other! Now that's a great finish to a 24hr race.

Congrats to the Brumos team and the Donahue family (David Donahue won this race on the 40th anniversary of his father's win). Last I had heard of the 58 car, they were stuck up against one of the barriers on Saturday night.

its about damn time someone post about the daytona 24. i WAS gonna do it and then bitch about no one here cares about such an important race but then id get bitched back at and yadda yadda yadda. so i didnt post. BUTTTT now that someone has....

for the GT class....
obviously i was rootin for mazda and when tremblay ran over a curb or whatev and damaged the fuel pump and fuel cell like 30 mins into the race i stopped caring about the results. the race was over for mazda so i didnt care, but i watched another 6 hours straight just in case... the rest of the mazda group did terrible and porsche kicked the **** outta everyone. at one point they had the FIRST EIGHT PLACES in a row and i was like damn. the speedsource had the fastest laptimes of any GT car but bc of the need to change the fuel cell they would never recover. if they hadnt such a big problem that race would be very different but thats what racing is all about. o well.

i saw a rolex race here at laguna last may and it was awesome. the different cars in Gt is enuff to get any car guy out there. from american thunderous and italian sensuous v8s, to the growling german flat 6s, to the mind blowing scream of the 3 rotor mazdas, there is a car for everyone

as for DP i dont follow at all but it was an interesting run. i mean how could u miss any action in DP, its all that SPEED covers....

yea its a shame that speeds covrage of tha race isnt more comprehensive! Though they only cover what 30 secs. will allow, since they hav to get back to talking bout NASCAR crap!!
Yea im die hard Euro fan so porsche is top my list! however like i said tha masda left a huge impression on me!! I then saw them at the new track in Jersey and that was great to be that close to all tha action and tha cars in pit lane!

Yeah, I thought it was incredible how much access you get at a Grand-Am race. NASCAR boasts about their being fan-oriented, but they've got nothing on Grand-Am.

I had some of this on at work, but wasn't able to watch too closely... I don't follow it closely enough to have favorites but I love when I check speed and catch stuff like this on
