hey just wandering if any one on here gets together on sundays to play roller hockey and where, i would like to get some people together to play pick up games wit, let me know,

IM DOWN but indoor only for me. Im trying to get back into it, since college took it away from me. I played at marple sports areana 3 weeks ago, for the first time in a while and i was hurting.

used to play all the damn time in highschool... we even had a highschool team... haven't played since... been 7 years... and I am way out of shape anymore for it... still have my sticks, my blades, pads, etc...

i'm with this guy, i freaking always played, where i lived when i was younger there was an outdoor hockey rink about 5 minutes away walking distance and i spent most of junior high and high school there. since it was a resort island it'd always be us locals against any vacationers. good old days, but darn, that was 5+ years ago, way to make me feel old, lol

fox chase has 2 rinks..not sure what they are like on weekends

houston has a rink that isnt too bad but also dont know what thats like on weekends

I've been talking about getting back into roller hockey with my buddy a lot lately... keep saying " I just need new wheels and a stopper for my Bauer H3s."

There is a REALLY nice rink/court at the Observatory Field in Upper Darby, 1 block off Rt.3/Westchester pike, 1/2 mile east of intersection of RT.1/Rt.3

I play in indoor leagues, but i have an extra pair of skates that i'll use on a decent outdoor rink (smooth surface), but not asphalt, my wheels are too soft and will crumble. There are a decent amount of outdoor rinks around northeast philly and in the burbs i'm sure. So if you get a pick up game going, im in!

that's where i usually play outdoors, love those rinks and they have full size nets which is what makes them better than most rinks. regardless of the rink, not many keep nets out so you're screwed unless you bring your own cheesy plastic mylec goal.

Early on a weekend i think they'd be fine. But they do hold various youth and adult leagues there, both foot and roller hockey, so a weeknight or weekend afternoon/night would probably be a bad call.
