out of state ticket question
this morning I was pulled over for accelerating excesivly ( i guess, police officer never told me what the ticket was for ) after taking my license and stuff he came back to my car and asked how my driving record was, i told him i got a ticket for driving at a safe speed and he asked if it was in WA; my question is, when you're pulled over don't they pull up your driving record? and if so, why did he ask how my record was, does nothing show up ? secondly, although he didn't tell me what he was ticketing me for, he said he was doing my a favor and making it a no points ticket. the ticket has careless driving (2 or 3 points ) checked off but says its sec 3111a ( no points ) how can i find out for sure if this ticket will give me points?

Do you still have a WA driver's license? Basically, all that's checked when you're pulled over is the status of your license (suspended/revoked) and whether or not there are warrants for your arrest. Careless driving is 3 points in PA, but it sounds like he gave you a break (probably why he asked about your record) and gave you the standard no-points ticket, traffic-control devices. If you're concerned and aren't sure exactly what the ticket is for, call the court and they will tell you what their records show.
