Who all went to ATCO on 3/5/06?

I was there and saw some TST decals, but I didn't get much of a chance to talk to anyone, because I was dealing with car issues. Namely, my nitrous solenoid is on it's way out, and 2 of the guys that came with me had issues too. I was in the red Cavalier Z24 that eventually ran a 13.5 at 96 mph, which sucks, since I usually trap around 103-104. I was hoping I'd get a new personal best, but I wasn't even close, oh well. My buddy Tony was even more dissapointed with his Cavalier (the blue one with the silver hood). He found out right before we left that the seals in his turbo went south, which we noticed because of the soot all over the inside of the compressor housing (Oops!). We were all hoping for at least a mid 12 out of his car, but he only squeaked out a 13.1 @105, and each run got worse as the turbo got more and more beat. So we want to put that car back on the dyno to see how down on power he is with the turbo in that kind of shape. He was pushing 333 WHP on 14 psi when the turbo was first installed, so I'm curious...... Then the other guy who came with us ended up having to be towed home when he grenaded the trans in his motor swapped Civic hatch. All in all, it was a dissapointing day, especially since I didn't get a chance to meet any of you, but better luck next time.

I'd like any video you guys have though, so I can see your runs that I didn't get a chance to see in person. I wanted to be able to sneak a peek from the stands, but that just didn't happen.

HaHa, I guess i missed that. My car broke on the first pass of the day. I didn't even make it all the way down the strip. My ignition started breaking up at the 1/8mile then my car shut off about 200 feet before the finish line. Damn stock ignition!!!!

I did manage a 12.7@119 though

Yea, that was Tony, lol. He never did like that side exit exhaust, but now he really hates it! He wanted 3 inch exhaust real bad, but if you ever saw the rear end of a Cav, it's nearly impossible to get 3" pipe over the rear axle, so the desision was made to go side exit until we get the time to fab up a real exhaust (which is gonna be like, now, I guess, lol).

I saw you make your 11.9 second pass, I was 2 cars behind you, watching the boards light up. Pretty impressive!

^^^ I do remember seeing that EVO with the CF hood. What did you run? I'm curious because I always wanted to line up with an EVO and see how I fair.

Nice times, sorry to hear about the clutch. What do you have done to it to run 12.9's? I hear they run low 13's stock, so is it just good driving, or mild mods?

Is there anyway to go below the rear axle? It's run below the rear axles in my car.

Thanks for the compliment. That time was somewhat pathetic but I'm pleased with the trap speeds.

I was there also... I was the second car to make a pass and the first to brake

busted my pressue plate on the 1-2 shift and coasted through the traps with a 13.9 at 105 so I got a free ride home from AAA.
