Highsided it
I'm only scratched up on my leg and my ass, but pretty shocked still. I was wearing my riding jacket (at the last moment decided to put it on), gloves, helmet, but I had shorts on. Got REALLY lucky that I slid on my upper thigh, so I was protected somewhat and didn't even get messed up. The fairings and tank scratched up, front brake lever snapped, rearset snapped, rear brake lever bent, and scratches everywhere. That **** was scary, I'm so glad I wore my gear and I'm never going to ride with shorts again. Hope i'll get the bike fixed and be able to ride soon |

Glad to hear you're ok man. Doesn't sound like a fun experience, but that's why I usually wait till I have plenty of time to pull out. Don't like rushing slow corners.
Bike sounds fixable, at least to the point that you can ride it again.

i never suggest wearing shorts even if i go down the block. not the greatest feeling with road rash. sucks personally. and highsides usually hurt too. back in july i was side swiped by a car merging into my lane took road rash all the way up my right leg was wear jeans. need all new fairings been riding the bike naked since.

I own both draggin jeans and the shift kevlar jeans, and can say that for a sportbike i prefer the cut of the shift jeans, the draggin jeans have a tendancy to bunch up right at my knee. Never been down in them, so i can't tell you how well they'd fair in a crash.
