I'm the guy who wants a G35 or 350Z but also has three kids to cart around and a wife who can't drive a standard. So the Max is as close as I'll get for now.

I had a 350z (3 of them to be precise). When I got back from deployment, I wanted something along those lines that wouldn't be a COMPLETE money pit. I picked up an AWD FX35. You should test drive one if you haven't already. Great for the wife/kids but still a BLAST to drive.

Not sure if anyone is interested or not, but if you wanted to advance your timing you can do it with an android phone and a basic bluetooth elm327. Should work on any obd2 Nissan, but only confirmed on 5th gen Maxima's thus far. Here's my thread on Maxima.org:

Another Nissan checking in. Don't get out like I used to but it would be nice to see this section pick up.

That's cool, where were you back when I posted a thread asking if anyone had a Cipher? Lol, just kidding. I obviously don't need it now. The developer of this app is always adding new Consult 2 functions regularly. He's a pretty cool guy.

07 Sentra SER in south jersey here. Would love a weekender RWD nissan but all the 240s etc out there seem to be worked over and I am a novice gear head.

I also had a 04 g35 and an 00 max prior to my sentra. Last edited by Sentranewb; 07-25-2013 at 09:29 PM. |

A 240 might be my next car when that Maxima is done. Once she's a fully bolted n/a I'm done with it. The problem I have with finding a 240 is that all that end up for sale in my area are already modded. And it's always one of two extremes: riced and beaten to the verge of death, or in amazing shape with quality mods and seller is asking huge $$$. So hard to find a bone stocker in decent shape. Plus I'd rather a s14 which seem to be harder to find in decent shape.

240 owners don't understand that mods in most cases don't add to the price of the car...
on the other hand I'll sell you mine for 15k if you want

Lol, people do that with all sorts of cars though. I think someone on here linked to a guy selling a suby for like 90 grand, by the end of the thread it was like 35,000 Haha. But yeah, 240s definitely are often overpriced; gotta pay the Sr and/or s14 tax

I still got room to go on the Maxima, and to be honest I love the car. So not looking good for a 240 anytime soon. Is you 99 max 3.5 swapped? Just curious.
