Purchasing Assistant
The Purchasing Assistant works within the Operations team, in coordination with the Production, Accounting, and International teams, to manage purchasing and inventory of sourced automotive parts. The Purchasing Assistant reports to the Director of Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Run Inventory Demand and Exception Reports
Create New Product Purchase Orders for UK and US Operations
Receive Purchase Orders for UK and US Operations
Confirm Warehouse Receipt Against Packing List
Receive Into Inventory Management System
Audit Customs Documentation
Monitor Component Inventory Levels of Kit SKUs
Compile Service Level Reports
For New Products
For Existing Products
Compile Lead Time Reports
Compile Supplier Delivery Performance Reports
Oversee Special Projects at the Warehouse Facilities
New Product Maintenance
Load new products into internal software systems
Load new Products into all Customer Integrated Systems

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Strong knowledge of Excel
2-4 Years Experience in purchasing, sourcing, and/or inventory management.
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
Good problem solving skills;
Ability to produce quality work within tight deadlines;
Ability to exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views;
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback to others;
Ability to maintain positive, effective work relationships with others.



Engineering Production Internship

The Engineering Production Intern is responsible for assisting the Product Engineers and other department members with production-related tasks; such as part installations on vehicles, garage maintenance, basic CAD assignments, basic fabrication work, and supply procurement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist Engineers in basic automotive tasks such as “prepping” vehicles, removing bumpers, removing and reinstalling OEM parts, moving vehicles in and out of garage, etc.
Document the process of removing OEM parts and reinstalling OEM/aftermarket parts.
Purchase garage supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garage area.
Assist Engineers with basic metal fabrication work as needed.
Assist Engineers and Project Managers with vehicle research, test data compilation, and other departmental needs.
Working towards degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Previous experience in an automotive, technical environment is preferred.
Able to drive a Manual Transmission automobile.
Active participant in Formula SAE (FSAE) colligate series or SAE Baja is preferred.
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Ability to produce quality work within tight deadlines.
Ability to exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views.

when/what kind of hours for the internship? starting my "freshman" year of engineering at PSU berks august 25th, but was one of fabspeed's welder/fabricators for 2 years before making the switch school. just curious, would be neat to work with you guys
