Some In Car Video from my ex-flying lizard 996 cup

The car makes about 440-450 crank hp (thanks to a clubsport package from PMNA). Its just at Pocono but its still pretty neat footage for those that havent seen the inside of one of these animals.

And an exterior shot for you guys

Cool man where were the other Italian cars at that were supposed to be at the show? I saw normal street cars in that vid.

Most of the challenge cars came out to play later on in the day. That was the second session within an hour (was probably around 1020) and I guess most of the others didnt want to play that much early on.

When was that shot? How was the track surface, especially in the infield portions of the track?

That was just shot, and the surface in the infield wasnt great but wasnt too bad either...aside from that one concrete strip that is god awful. Regardless, they are repaving the thing next year.

Last year I had heard that they were going to repave this year...but also heard about some significant chunking in some of the NASCAR sections and some newer imperfections in one or two infield (double infield) areas.

Really, other than the transition into the infield before NASCAR T3 it looked relatively decent.

there is a concrete strip they put in that you have to go over to get into the infield that the installers screwed up ROYALLY. This has apparently been enough (along with the other tracks in the area for competition) to make them finally do something about the quality of their track.

Yeah, that's what I thought..of course I'm doing the North course (which uses that same transition from the NASCAR oval in to the infield [except it's a right turn in to the infield]) in a few weeks. Should make things interesting.

Thanks for the info.

Good question...haha. Its just kinda memory for me now, but I know my speed into the area and know how slow I have to be to get into the infield (super slow) so after Im done breaking I just kinda look and am like aight...time to go.

Very nice car. What speed were you seeing on the back straight? I will be there July 16-17 with NASA. I remember last year the infield was a little rough with a few decent sized bumps. That concrete strip right when you turn into the infield is for the new NASCAR safer barrier. We used to run a double infield set up but with the new barrier that isn't an option this year. So saturday we will be running the single infield (the same as your video) but in reverse and with a chicane on the back straight and Sunday the regular CCW single infield just like your video. Should be a good time if anyone can make it out.

I look for the white line going across the track. You can see it in the video. Its a pretty good reference point that I use.

nice pretty interesting. why is it when you get up to speed it looks like the whole car is flexing/distorting? is it the camera making it look worse than it is or does it really do it that much?

oh and maybe you know who this is?
