Dry Carbon Wrap - Your Local 3M Carbon Fiber Wrap Installer/Distributor

For the last few months, we've seen a product on the market that was quite remarkable. Carbon fiber fabric, used for wrapping interior pieces.

There are two major drawbacks against this product that keep it from being great.
-No exterior application.
-It will not stretch permanently. When applied to a surface it will ALWAYS be fighting your glue. Vinyl, once stretched will hold the new shape.

A superior product has emerged, and DryCarbonWrap is proud to offer it to you.

Dry Carbon Wrap is a type of vinyl that are designed for wrap applications.

It has a textured weave pattern replicating dry carbon fiber. The resemblance is truly amazing. It has an interior lifespan of up to 12 years, and features 3M's Controltac™ Plus Graphic Film with Comply™ Performance.

That is 3M's fancy speak for the sticky backing. The adhesive is designed to be used in wrap applications and is able to be lifted and repositioned until the proper look is achieved. The cross pattern helps in working out air bubbles, providing you with a channel. Once pressure and heat are applied, it's done.

Stop fighting with fabric. Fabric is not designed for wrap applications. It is constantly trying to return to it’s original shape. This means it is working against the spray glue holding it to your surface at all times.
Vinyl that is heated for a short amount of time with a heat gun will change shape. This means your wrap job will stay put.

Features:

-Best imitation of real carbon fiber on the market. When rotated, the weave actually reflects light, and the black/gray will change to gray/black.
-Dry Carbon look at a fraction of the cost
-Dry Carbon wrapped parts that were never possible before.
-Up to 12 year indoor, and 4 year outdoors life.
-No spray glue involved- just peel and apply.
-Waterproof, spillproof.
-Available in up to 48" widths.
-Easily cleaned with shampoo and water.
-Sold by the linear foot.
-Have any stubborn corners? Just use 3M Primer 94 to make it stay.
-Easily applied with a squeegee sold at any craft store (or get one through us!)

Pricing starts at $16.25 sq/ft!
THAT'S LESS THAN 1/3 of other online retailers!

For orders over 10 linear feet, please contact us for pricing.
For ¼, ½ and full rolls, please contact us. (40, 80 and 160 linear feet, respectively)

Ordering:

Send ANY questions you have before ordering to Sales@drycarbonwrap.com.

For security’s sake we only use PayPal. It is free and easy to use, and accepts your CC as a simple way to pay us.

Shipping is flat rate, 19.99 inside the USA. Reason being, we only ship in mailing tubes.
Shipping a tube, especially in 48" lengths is more costly- but shipping tubes do two things:
1. Ensure your precious Dry Carbon Wrap does not get creased. A solid crease in shipping is usually an ill fate for an expensive piece of vinyl. Boxes will not promise a safe delivery.
2. Avoids the hassle of having to file claims with shipping companies. Insuring specialty vinyl and having it repaid if damaged is a painful process.

Wrap Services:

We are located in NJ. We’re willing to discuss any ideas you have.

i'm offering this once, but the first car i do will be done at NEAR cost...
just to get the photos and such.
price would have to be agreed as a maximum, with good potential to be cheaper after it's done.
i'd have to measure the specific vehicle and plan to get the weave going in the same direction in the correct places.

but yeah. i'd do the first one cheap- just to figure out the labor.
the dry carbon takes a bit more time and care to get right than normal vinyl.

sorry- i may have mislead you.

i have wrapped cars before, i am 100% completely capable of doing so.
i just haven't done an entire car with the CARBON material. it takes a bit more time and care to get right, so I haven't figured out how long it will take me.

So, the first job is to figure that out... not to figure out HOW to do it, haha.

depends on the wheels, but more than likely.
flat faces, like some of the evo wheels would be really easy and would look cool. the vinly would have NO problems holding.

it's not really intended for removal.
3M does provide some removal tips though.

basically, after 4 years in the sun on a roof, its just going to peel off in small pieces. it'll be more brittle than when you installed it, so it sorta "chips"
the residue left behind is only on the clear coat, so solvents or even a professional buffing will remove it.

however- i have seen cheap repaints peel up.

Hey, jbell! I'm looking to buy 3M film wholesale. Do you, guys, sell only carbon fiber film? Cuz I need standard colors as well (including golden, matte, chrome, etc.) Or do you know any other distributors?
Thanx

Measure the roof for me, round up to the nearest foot. (you generally want at least 3-6" on each end extra to help with stretching and stuff)

agreed.

look at this "oops" we had.

we were dumb when working on the trunk- look at all the material we had bunched in the center.

we just peeled 6" of it back it up, went at it again, starting at the center... and had it done PERFECT in the next shot.

same piece of vinyl as this:
