Issue arises with the M

if any of you guys could help me out i just picked up my m5 about 2 weeks ago. but theres one problem with it. it keeps giving me this irritating "tire defect" warning, but i re inflated them all and reset the tps. but ever so often it still goes off when the pressure is fine in all tires. any idea what this could be? help is always appreciated thanks

What pressure are you using? I know those systems are very touchy

Could be a bad sensor?

Does it have a spare? If it does, check the pressure on that also.

Go to your local tire shop or dealer.
Pay to have them put Nitrogen in your tires.
Nitrogen does not hold moisture so it doesn't react to temperature changes.
This will more than likely fix the problem. We charge 25 bucks to do it so don't get ripeed off by some high end dealer. Good luck.

Probably sensor installed incorrectly, non bmw tire installers tend to break the monitors because they are pain. Also check your spair like people stated before me.

are you sure you completely rest the TPS?

Heres what you should be doing.

go on a highway.
hit your TPS button (light should come up on the dash)
then drive for 2-3 minutes at a pretty constant speed on a road that's relatively straight.

the light should go off and your tps has officially been reset.
