Any 240SX/SR20DET shops near Binghamton [University]?

I'm a student at Binghamton University and I brought my redtop s13 up to BU from NYC. I knew my headgasket might be on its way after one incident of near overheating. It ran with no problems, actually smoother than ever before on the way up (3.5 hour drive, a week ago). It started acting up this morning with the idle high at near 2k and stumbling to 1.5k and back up to 2k and stumbling back to 1.5k and finally blew. All the signs are there; white smoke, no power, awful idle at 650rpm. The problem is that I'm away from home, normally I'd hav a few shops to choose from back in NYC. I'm dying to know if there are any shops near here that can work on a sr20det (replace the head gasket with the RIGHT head gasket) near Binghamton University. Thanks in advance.

Binghamton, NY it's a small city, close to middle of the NY/PA border. BU is in Broome County.

How long did you let the car overheat for? More importantly, what caused the overheating? Hopefully you didn't warp anything. I can change the headgasket for you if you can get the car to my shop. PM if interested.

i was changing exhaust and turbo inlet gasket and bolts over a weekend and the whole ordeal with uninstalling the exhaust side and reinstalling it for the first time, in with the engine in the bay, in the small ass garage back home, got me real exhausted. in the end when i was putting everything back together, i made sure everything was right.... BUT unfortunately, being up from relatively early in the morning til 3 in the morning didnt help clarity of mind. i forgot to put the coolant back in. STUPID STUPID move.... i drove it for 15-20min. saw the needle go up to the first big mark for the "H" zone. topped it off with coolant the next day and left for school (yom kippur weekend) started right up a month later (thanksgiving) and drove perfect until i got up here two weeks? ago.

There isn't anything to speak of here in Binghamton. Trust me. You're better off traveling a little at minimum.
