thats a bit of a hike for me. Sorry. but to tell you the truth it sounds like the heating coil went bad. I would say time for a new one. I would call a plumber in your area

When is the last time you replaced or had the coil replaced?? I know here in warminster our heating coil goes bad all the time because of the "hard" water. It may be the same for you too, either that or i'd say a bad connection or bad/old wires being used.
(I've fixed a quite a few water heaters and this is just my personal experience with them)

Maybe you're heating elements went bad? There is a top and bottom one, and I would replace both of them. I believe there is a specific tool that needs to be purchased.

well .. lets just say since the new water heater was installed not long ago at all, its done the same exact thing TWICE and now this is the third time. i have no idea why, it gets fixed then it just randomly happens again. but i think in my case it does have to deal with the "hard" water and a week ago these water tester people came to my house and actually installed their system to clean/fix the water and now the water heater problem .. AGAIN
