hookah-shisha is having a great sale on KM hookahs right now. 15-30% off.

Also got tipped off to a good forum with lots of info.

good looking out...so i'm now looking at different brands of shisha; what do you guys smoke? I've only ever smoked starbuzz, i've got no problem with it but for $20/can it's a little hard for me to experiment. Any comparable brands that are heavy on flavor but a little more affordable? I'm looking at al fakher, legit?

Oh and back to the Phunnel/Vortex discussion. I get the physical differences now, but how do they smoke? Who has both, which do you prefer and why? It seems reviews on both are just biased towards which ever the reviewer owns...is there a noticable difference? do i need to get both?

I own both bowls,I enjoy my phunnel way more than my vortex. The vortex just leaks high glycerin shisha flavor right down the stem.

I smoke mostly starbuzz and fantasia.I only get AF for the mint. As far as quality goes The starbuzz and fantasia are great. If you want to just get a 25/50g instead of the large one for a lot less; if you like it buy the big one. Tangier's is a great tobacco but very finicky to work with for beginners.

I smoke Al Fakher, Starbuzz, Fumari, Social Smoke, and very rarely Fantasia. Lately I've been smoking all AF from mint, peach, watermelon, and orange. All great flavors. I've been trying to experiment with mixing different AF flavors.

I hat how starbuzz is so expensive. I hate buying any because there's not a flavor that I absolutely love enough to pay $20 for. That's why I love AF, its cheap and great smoking shisha.

I've hear tangiers shisha is very good but very hard to find. I want to try their cane mint

Tangiers is best bought online anyway. If you guys aren't buying online you're spending a lot more money than you think you are.

I forgot about fumari! The white gummie bear and the orange cream are both great flavors

Guys. After a month of floating around Guam/North Korea and all the research I've done I went straight to the smoke shop around the corner (San Diego) and got EVERYTHING. Vortex, coco norals, and the hot plate...implemented all your tips and now I'm smoking with my wife watching the waves hit the shore...it is a night and day difference. SO smooth and flavorful, huge clouds, hits hard...thank you all SO much...

Never put milk in the vase. Rots the stem and doesn't do anything except cause rust. You can fill it up to the level you want with ice, then finish with water.

Time to upgrade to a phunnel bowl then. Better for smoking all the wet shisha anyway.

Also got the kaloud lotus about a week ago; never using foil again.

Seems its been a while since someone posted in here but I got bored and took this today of my setup I've had for a while now. Just refreshed my collection of shisha and picked up some Al Fakher Mint, Orange and Vanilla today. Found out I had a stash of shisha I forgot about, a bunch of starbuzz and fantasia lol

I have a bunch of fantasia flavors, and every one of them has the same incense aftertaste. not a fan of that.

RHF and HP is a KM Tangiers circle jerk. I try flavors across the board and don't knock it until I've tried it. Picked up some Nakhla two apples to last me for a little bit.

Extremely true, I am the same way. I avoid the hype, try everything myself, and form my own opinions. Been smoking hookah for 8 yrs now, and never liked the "boutique" brands. I was a huge JM's tangerie fan though.

-Tangiers is a great tobacco when done right.
-Nakhla is impossible to screw up.
-Starbuzz is meh I just end up with a chemical taste by the time I enter hour 3 on my bowl.
-Fantasia has some decent flavors and produces huge clouds but the price hurts
-Al Fahker mint is my favorite mint next to cane mint; but not a fan of the rest of the flavors.

I can't wait to be done basic/tech school so I can start smoking inside again; my mother in law lives with us and as respect to her I smoke out on the porch and it just ruins it for me. The humidity down here is 100% different from inside to out and creates a meh smoke session at best.

I've tried a lot of starbuzz flavors, not really into them. They're all too "complex" i think. I really like AF vanilla, mixes great with fruit flavors and is very smooth. The fantasia flavors I've had all seem to have that same incense aftertaste and its enough to make me not want to smoke them anymore.
