Manyunk is a little expensive and in either town parking sucks. Snow makes it a joke also

I would stay east of ridge. It seems a little nicer and less crowded. Also the farther north you go the nicer it gets. There's some pretty nice spots in east falls, but that's too close to north philly for me. Having lived in the city for 26 years my best advise to you is to move somewhere else.

i live here east of ridge. used to live 3 blocks off of main st
almost feels suburban over here.
if you want to get hammered 3 days a week live close to main street lol

I had a winter place in Roxborough. Nice area. Plenty of parking. Manayunk is all downhill and tiny streets.

i found my place through craigslist. i had a garage and my landlord was very very good (her name was jeane papiro and her family owns 20+ homes in manayunk)

our fridge and washer broke. both times they were fixed or replaced by the very next day.

There's a place called sherman mills in east falls that's really nice. Not sure how expensive it is but its a gated community with a parking garage
