Nice! I would've gotten that but I can't stand the directional pad being so flush with the dial like the 60D. I opted for the 7D and eventually a 5D

Oh cool. 7D is a good camera I couldn't get used to the joy stick on that .. Maybe when I start doing sports shooting and need more range I can pick one of those bad boys up

Picked this Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens today for my 7D, took a few shots, all very sharp and the bokeh is really nice. Ill post up some sample shots when I get a chance

I opted out of the 30/1.4 for the 24/1.8 because of the obscene amount of filters I use and them all being 77mm.

I have also heard of the Sigma issues with certain lens..Tried the Sigma in the store at allens camera And was really impressed with the Sigma.Picked up the sigma from them an also got the canon 35mm F2 from Amazon. I kinda want to keep both of them but I guess ones got to go back. Heres some shots i did with the sigma 1.4

I like how the canon 35mm F2 is small an light for days i dont feel like lugging the sigma around. But so far havent really taken the sigma off my camera. The above shots are at 1.4.Took some at F2 and higher and they were really sharp..Decisions decisions

And here's your $6.95 fix for that: http://www.adorama.com/FLU6277.html

Well, for the 30/1.4 which is 62. But, put whatever size in there you want and there's a step-up ring available.

In regards to the Sigma issues--the big thing is having the ability to micro adjust your focus. I had the 30/1.4 on my T2i and b/c I couldn't micro adjust it was a bit of a PITA. I'm considering the 30/1.4 Art series for my A77 since it has a better build quality, sharpness, and the A77 has the abilty to micro adjust it should be a pretty easy decision. That or the 35/1.4 Art--haven't decided yet.

Got a 7D and everything is microadjusted - I've never gotten a short focal length siggy that focused right out of the box but I could get them acceptable pretty easily. Except my 70-200 OS but thats a bit different of a build quality, 0 needed.
