towing your car...

I'm moving from hershey to norristown in 2 weeks. I'm debating having the g/f drive me from norristown to hershey, then driving back.. after driving the the truck and unpacking and dropping off the truck.

Now, the penske website says the tow dolly is fine for FWD cars, and its $80 less than the car carrier. I'd obviously feel more confortable to have the car on the carrier where its off the ground completely, versus having the front two tires up.

Would I be ok with the dolly, or should I spring for the carrier.

I've never drove with a car on a car trailer of any type, so naturally I'm concerned and I don't want to **** my car up.

my parents have used a tow dolly for years behind their RV. Just make sure you strap it down really good and you'll be alright

isn't it like $70 to join AAA then have to pay for a tow truck...

It costs 105 for a car dolley and 185 for a carrier to put on the back of a truck

I'm pretty sure the car has to be unable to move for aaa and they won't pick it up at your house or at a garage.

you're not supposed to tow a rwd car with a tow dolly unless you disconnect the drive shaft.

Or get a uhual trailer. I think it's 50 for the dolly and 60 for the car carrier or something like that. Just show up at uhaul with the penske truck and hope that no one cares.
