What application are they going on? Nothing available for it? One off isn't going to be cheap. JMFab can definitely handle it for you though.

they are for a jeep cherokee. I've found them pre-made, but they range from $500 to $200. $500 being way more than i want to spend or even need, and the $200 being way to cheap looking for the price. I don't really need the outer bar, i just need a single tube/bar with 2 to 3 legs to the frame.
I emailed JM as well as a few others to see what they would charge. the ones pictured are for a tacoma, but i think they should fit the jeep. just not sure how long the legs are.

X2

Jim is pretty reasonable on price and the welding itself is beyond top notch.

Not to mention, post-sale customer service is like no other. Jim gives a **** about you just as much after he gets your money as he does before. If you have any problems, he's more than willing to work with you.

Definitley trying to toot the horn here. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

I'll give you a call later today to discuss.

JM Fab came back with a quote of 8-10 hours at $80 an hour plus $100-$200 for materials. (this seems pricey to me) so i might end up with a pre-made set.

Ill weld it up for a case of beer. But you would have to supply pre-cut materials w/ drawing

hmmm... this is tempting, i do autocad for work, so drawings are no biggie, the pre-cut material would be the tough part. I can only do straight cuts.

The rails in the second set of pictures would be much easier to make. Even my wimpy welder could probably do that.

I dont need a autocad or solidworks drawing, hand drawing is fine. It just has to be clear

the straight cuts was in regards to the fist picture, the pipe would need to be cupped or cut to fit around the other pipe. I personally don't have the tools to do that.
As for the 2nd picture there would be no problem in that design, I could do all the cutting, including the angled.

From knowing a bunch of metal fabbers you should probably go with something premade. That is the only way to purchase cheap unless you have a friend who won't charge you. That doesn't seem like that big of a job but the labor rates and material prices will put you in between the cheapest you found and the most expensive depending on the shop.
