Multiple questions

I am planning on replacing both rear windows(non-moving) and my rear hatch glass with Lexan and proceeding to tint it to the state limit (which I believe you said was 70%? Would this 1. Pass inspection and 2. get me pulled over? I will have louvers on the rear window. I am looking for ways to reduce the weight of my car to gain better track times with fewer engine modifications (to avoid being ticked for them) Also, are fiberglass fenders/hoods legal if the vehicle did not come with them. Finally, my car is a 1989 model year. When will it become "emissions exempt"?

Changing any DOT approve equipment of your car will cause it to fail inspection as for the emissions exempt for your vehicle you will have to check with your State DMV or DOT for that information.
