No Third Brake Light

Like the title says, I am wondering if there is no third brake light on your car or in my case my Integra would be okay? I've seen a few other Integras with no third tail light but I don't know if it's okay. I couldn't find anything on the web saying that it's not okay to have them so asking you guys would be the next best bet to confirm this.

All cars after 1986 came factory with a 3rd brake light. Therefore you shouldn't alter factory equipment.

In PA you could be cited for it... Would you?? Depends on the Officer.

Just food for thought if you we're to get rear ended and that person decides to throw a civil suit against you bc you didn't have one, and he claims he didn't know you we're stopping bc of that, and your car was built post 96 there could be an issue. A good defense attorney could eat you up.
