No Gregg, not working today. Trying to change that fuel filter but I've never done one before and don't want to go at it alone.

I followed the online instructions to de-pressurize the system, took the line off, got hit in the eye with gas. Furthermore, I can't get enough room under there to manuever myself and be comfortable so it's going to the shop tomorrow.

Side note,

When was the last time you cleaned your air filter, MAF, or checked pipe fittings? a slight leak in one of those IC pipes can do this same exact thing.

Air filter needs to get replaced, Haven't checked the MAF, and AFAIK, the IC pipes are all on and tight.

Well, if your filter is bad enough that it needs replacing, I would take precautions and clean the Maf. ten seconds with some CRC, a dirty Maf can cause those conditions. I dont know where you russians go, but if your hygine means anything I'm scared for your car lol. Im kidding... or am I?

Nothing visible on the MAF, even blew on it (no homo).

Gonna change the filter regardless cause I need to, otherwise fuel filter should be done this week and pump after that if the problem isn't fixed.

Did you even check the fuel pressure?

What are you waiting for? Do tests before you buy parts. If I was closer I'd help you out, but the best I can tell you is to free tool rent for autozone and get that system checked, if the pressure is fine then don't worry about the filter and pump

His filter is supposed to be changed out every 30,000. He is almost at 60,000.
I've been wrong before but the same sort of occurance just happened with my car. I was low on fuel, the filter o-ring was ripped, and my filter had not been changed yet with over 60,000 miles.
imo ....this is his problem.

My thinking is since the vaccum changed, it may be a vaccum issue that I am just not finding. After all, I doubt a bad fuel pump could cause vaccum to change.
