I am pretty set on my ideas for the car! Its just I have conflicting ideas being thrown at me from the two forums. You guys are saying to make it look good, while the Solara Guys are trying to say I should make it faster. Its hard to find a middle ground to please you guys, them, and most importantly myself!

Doug, the middle ground here is the following... Simple N/A Bolt Ons / Rims-Tires / Suspension Work = Clean status

Dante, I like your idea of powdercoating the engine bay too! How much did it cost to do something similar to yours? Obviously I dont have as many parts that need to be painted, but something similar would be awesome!

Edit: Actually I just read some reviews of people that did it on solaraguy.com apparently you can see gains of up to 35 horsepower, and i can get it done now for about $2500 for parts AND labor from a guy on my website. Apparently the 5-speed stock 1/4 mile is only .5 more than a S/C auto Last edited by Zaior; 02-23-2012 at 11:33 AM. |

LOL! I am considering it.. I mean they never made the Luxury model in a 5 speed so it would be unique, plus (I dont understand how) they put out 35 whp more! I would be 1 of 20 something people that have done the swap on the SLE model. And there is a kit to do it for $1800 from the "go-to" guy for all Solara work lol.
