02 rs 05 wrx rack and pinion

The rack and pinion in my 02 rs is shot, and I currently have the motor and trans out of a 05 wrx currently in my car. I figured that means an 05 wrx rack and pinion should fit as well with have a slightly better feel. Does anyone know if these are swappable ?

I am pretty sure it will bolt in but there is a possibility you may need the steering coupler from the WRX too. I know people ran into that issue trying to put them into Legacy's and Foresters but since your car is already close to the same platform as the rack you are installing it may work. It isn't a common swap so this one will probably be one of those moments where you will have to be the test subject.

I believe if I remember correctly, there are 2 diff racks, both have different mounting setups.
