My last car was an SER Spec-V which was a 6sp. I totally miss having six gears. 5 is too long and boring, and jolty some times. I dont mean check out an STi and tell me if its cool or not, I mean go drive an STi and you will understand where the rest of us are coming from since theres really no such thing as a stockWRX/STi/EVO... blah blah, Unless is brand new or in for warranty work.

Bah, you just need a engine with broad torque. 5 is plenty, maybe even one too many. Another problem with the WRX, the clutch is too heavy. I don't want a 6 spd with a clutch like that, I'd be walking crooked. I'm really nit picking though. And I when I said check out I meant go drive.

see, we are never going to agree. I like a pedal like that. I do on the other hand not like the pedal feel on the 06+ models. All of them have no pedal feel whatso ever. I dont really appriciate cars that drive themselves. I like ones that need you to do the work.

I like a medium length throw clutch that's light. I'm using the clutch entirely too much to have it be hard. My brakes on the other hand, I like those firm, sport pads FTW.

BAM!

And I love a heavy pedal. My Stage 1 act is starting to feel too soft and I want something like a cusco twin disk....

Save the light clutches for the luxury cars. Performance oriented cars should not have a clutch without some feel to it. If I got into a WRX, STI, EVO, Vette, Mustang or whatever and the pedal felt like I was driving my grandfathers Caddy I would be very dissapointed.

If you think the wrxclutch is heavy then you definately should not get a german car, specifically a bmw or porsche.

However the S2000 clutch is light as a feather

All I can say is I've driven saabs, I have no clue what your talking about with feedback. They are the most disconnected cars I have ever driven, in fact it was quite scary so I don't know what you are talking about here, but I'm probably wrong saabs are probably the best handling cars ever

Well my clutch is far from lacking in feel, but hey, make whatever assumptions you want.

I convinced that either 1) this thread was a joke or 2) this guy just hates WRX's.
