which software? and other than that, what are the major differences as you step up? just inputs/adjustable features and such?

Yep, all of those have nav AND Bluetooth built in. All are touch screen and have on screen iPod controls w/ optional cable.

AVIC-U310BT- Basic as they come. Smallest screen @ 4.3". No video functionality at all. 2 sets of 2V pre outs.

AVIC-X710BT- 5.9" screen, better Nav functionality (3D is badass). 3 sets of 2V pre outs.

AVIC-X910BT- same as X710BT but adds DVD playback.

AVIC-Z110BT- adds 7" screen, 4V pre outs, and it just plain bad ass!
