Vendor Classified Section? - TriStateTuners.com :: Home of Tristate Auto Enthusiast

I had talked about this a bit with Troll and wanted to get everyone's opinion on it. Do you think TST would benefit from a vendor only classified section? This would pile all of the specials/deals that each vendor is offering into one section. It would make it so you would not have to click each vendor forum individually to check what deals are being offered. Most forums do have a section like this and we feel it would make it easier for both the buyers and sellers. I would like to get opinions from both vendors and consumers on this one, so let us know what you think of the idea!

On most sites that have a vast amount of vendors,they have their own classifieds as it is easier to find brand new parts instead of having to thumb through pages of users

I also think its a great idea. One of the other forums i go to has that. I think they call it Vendor Specials.

I would like to bring this back up...i feel it is almost necessary at this point with how many vendors we have. It would better serve all the members and give the vendors a chance to put together sales specific threads with more exposure to the members.

Starting on this project right now... not sure how it got put aside before but it wont this time.

So... are you guys looking for one single forum section that is for all Vendor Specials and Promotions?
Something where the parts would have to be in stock and ready to ship, and any other promotions would have to be currently active to be posted?
Or would you want to see it broken up into sections like: tuning/service, engine, suspension/brakes, exterior, etc? I am hesitant to break it up like that starting out but just an idea.
I'd definitely like to move forward with it, just want to have a gameplan from the start.

Also would you like to see a limit to the number of threads that a vendor can post in a certain amount of time, or a certain number of total active threads allowed per vendor? Like 1 new thread per week, for example.
Also, how about limitations on bumping a thread?

I think its a great idea.

Just have to figure out how to make it so that it doesn't get overrun and disorganized.
