On an overall view I'd say subies. However, mitsubishi imo doesn't make bad cars, I just think subaru makes better cars.

from a business standpoint mitsu is lucky they are still around, Subaru is definatley a better run company. But no one with an evo is gonna say subaru is better and the same goes for the subaru owners. Id go with subaru becasue of reliablity and AWD on every car they make

Every car Subaru makes is a solid vehicle that I wouldn't mind driving, barring some being a little ugly. The Evo is one of my favorite cars (even though I'm a WRX driver and would buy an STI instead), and from strictly a performance standpoint, is more mod friendly. But what else does Mitsubishi make that you want to drive? And how reliable are they, when Subaru has been taking home reliability awards from JD Power & Associates for a few years now? In general, Subaru crushes Mitsubishi.
Let's not make this an Evo vs. STI thread though, we all know where everyone's allegiances lie

I must agree with this statement. But I do believe as a company Subaru is better but not for the cars they make. I just believe the Evo to be superior in alot of aspects especially in the catagory of looks. I drove the 2006 STI and yes it drove nice I just hate they way they look. I do on the other hand like the 04-05 STI's, it's just I wouldn't buy a used turbo car. The IX is a bad MFr.

If that's not the pot calling the kettle black I don't know what is. the STi is nasty as far as interiors go. Cheap plastic as far as the eyes can see.

Do you guys realize how big Mitsubishi is? I think Subaru is a better car manufacturer, but Mitsubishi is a better "company".
In Japan Mitsubishi has their hands in EVERYTHING! They are hands down the biggest company in the country. Mitsubishi produces cars, electronics, nikon cameras, nuclear power, and a ton of other things. Mitsubishi also owns the largest bank in Japan. So while Mitsubishi Motors may be mis-managed (they are getting much better), the company Mitsubishi as a whole in insane!
