Blew my 5speed again...
Turns out I cracked the case. God damn subaru 5 speeds... Just replaced all the gears due to fraggin 1 of the gears... replaced them with ppg's and now the damn case breaks... hopefully I will find an 04 sti trans... tired of this weak azz 5speed bs

wait so you did PPGs and now the case cracked? is that normal? you could probably get another used case for not too much money but i guess install will set you back again...

Were the shafts shimmed correctly? Who did the trans work for you?? I bet once to rip it apart you will find out exactly why it broke..

I had two 5-speed cases sitting in my garage that I couldn't give away for two years. I ended up taking them to the scrap yard just to get them out of my way.
Anyway, since you already have PPGs, you should see if they're still OK and have foolio stick them in another case for you. |

This leads to distortion due to the load under which the 5spd is subjected to. Granted it's not entirely normal or common, it has happened before.. I am anxiously awaiting to hear if the ppgs were damaged. Because the case cracking caused one hell of a load bang. sounded like a shotgun.

By definition, anything more than up pipe and turbo back,
bigger topmount, full intake.... stage 4 is usually new turbo, fmic... I mean, I can't be making more than 300... so who knows... all I know is its enough to frag the trans....
