pulled over 2 times in one day

I drove 3 hours up to north jersey to go on a ton of twisties for a nice cruise with 3 other cars. On one of the roads ( our last mile of the cruise litterally) my buddy in front of me doing like 60 on a narrow 35mph bend catches the only cop we saw all day. The cop slams his brakes and spins around and the 2 other cars behind me slam their brakes and the officer tells them to stay put while he proceeds to come after me. I was NOT speeding at all the only person that was flying to fast was the guy in front of me. So naturally the cop starts coming for me as i'm still moving. I slowed down to about 20 in the 35 and the cop flashes and flys past me to try to catch my friend who made a run for it. I just keep going down the road at a slow speed because i was kinda just shocked I didn't get pulled over.

The officer couldn't find my buddy who hid from him and comes back to find me spins around follows me for a while and pulls me over. He gave me a ticket for the chrome thingie around my license plate which doesn't block ANYTHING but apparently it's unclear, then a ticket for my radar detector which is an obstructed view, then a failure to keep right in which he explains i crossed double yellow lines.

I begged him to give me a break as i have no bad driving history and I did nothing wrong but he blamed my buddy getting away on me.

1. How can i fight this in court; I figure take pictures of my car w/o the license plate thing and radar detector to throw those tickets out but what do I do about the other ticket. I can't afford a lawyer and I can't really afford to drive up 3 hours to pay fines and get points.

ALSO I got a ticket the same night following a different friend to a gas station he ran a yellow and i didn't wanna lose him so I followed and apparently it was red when I went through. I explained to the officer I was lost 3 hours from home and was just trying to not lose my friend on the way to gas up and go home an he didn't really care. So now I have 2 separate court dates 3 hours from home on 2 different days. I know this is alot to read but I don't really know what to do or how I can help myself out of any of this.

Is there any other way I can reduce the tickets no no points at all and not pay the 250 surcharge i was told i'd have to pay?

I'll rephrase my questions then....

Is it possible for me to get no points for these tickets and not pay a 250 surchrage someone told me that if oyu get a ticket with points the only way out is by paying this.

Does that fact that I live nowhere near either courts (3 hours) work for me in my favor? I was going to try to use this to my defense but do they really care how far you are from the area?

1st Robb you need some new buddies, but that aside no the 3 hour ride is n ot tghe courts problem its yours so thats not going to help. THe summons that you got should not require that you go to court so pay them and deal with it.
