This was what it looked like the day I bought it... complete with dents and very dated "bling" gear... Ouch

Of course, what is the first thing you need to do when you buy something?

Now it was time to get down and dirty... front clip came off and a 6" coil lift was installed. This required a new four link in the rear.

Any dings and dents were pulled at this time...

Next came reworking the fender arches and putting new sheetmetal to accept the 6" widebody kit

Here you can see how much bigger the inner fenders had to be made to handle the new arch

Next I scored the first set of wheels that I used to set up the widebody and suspension 44x18.50 Monster Mudders.
These were later replaced with the Cepeks that are on it now.

First test fit on the truck... now I was finally seeing why I put so much time into this... Tucking 19" wide tires :P

Here it was in it's first incarnation. Pics of it are all over the net from the Long Beach Toyotafest (under construction).

After the paint was finished, it was time to go back and lift it again, another 6" -this was massive fab time)

Makes the 37" Military Tires look like training wheels :P

After getting the suspension dialed in, putting steel braided brake lines, and extended driveshafts- it was time to try tires a second time.
This time the tires were 44x21" TruXus STS tires on Weld 14" deep wheels.

Next we fabbed up a custom rack and powder coated it. I whacked a roof off another cruiser to use as a test fixture for the design. We wanted to keep the fog lights low so they didn't protrude above the rack. Or if you run a LED light bar, they can be lower than the deck. Triple dog leg mounts spread the weight of the load on the gutters. The paint is Orion Silver two stage powder.

Finally I scored the tires I wanted (Cepek 44's), had the rack bolted up... it was time to go hit Pismo Beach/Oceano Dunes!

At it's first car show, the Scion meet at San Bernardino Toyota!
