wtf is a 1980 pontiac sunbird

new sloppy mechanics build

we got this from a friend, retardedly enough with everything but a motor.

car came mini tubbed with x275 drag radials and new wheels. dana44 rear, builtth350, converter, radiator, parts for a turbo kit. roll cage, seats, you name it.

we took a newer gen 4 style 4.8 we had and studded it and installed ls9 gaskets and 317 6.0 heads and dropped it in.

once the motor was in put on the intake and bolted up the partial turbo kit we got and made it fit, also bolted on one of our gt45 turbos

wired the car and installed the MS1 and MSD6010, tested as working and ready to go

made the downpipe and wg dump

car came with giant -10AN lines, too big, we knocked them down to fit the truck intake fittings we had

car came with a metal cowl, cut it to size and zip screwed it into the hood

couplers came in, installed a 3.5 inch exhaust pipe for the cold side and done

cheap coolant overflow tank, filled with methanol and methanol nozzles installed today

38mm wastegate and un-merged hotside was proving hard to control boost as we thought, so we cut it upen and installed a 60mm gate we had, holding 20lbs rock steady now

car has twin 044 pumps y'd together feeding the car with e85 right now, making enough power to burn the transmission out unfortunately haha

we had it ready for the dyno day, but since the trans is now toast. cant really dyno it, might bring it just for people to check it out.

oh well figured i would post it up to show you guys.

Cool, I had 6 Chevy Monza V8's back in the day. Fun cars.
