Thanks! Unfortunately, I would never paint any car this color.. unless you are wanting a pure show car.... or paint it every year. I thought about wrapping it flat black (I have a roll at home) but the way FD's are made, its much harder job than modern cars. I would definitely recommend wrap vs. paint as wrap looks to hold up daily mess much better (I've tested this on my daily by wrapping it partly and drove for 6 months).

LOVE this.

I'd imagine you have this same build going on rx7club.com? (about to go check...)

You don't happen to be the same Sohn that sells the OMP adapter are you?

There is nothing wrong with an LSx swapped RX7.

i love when people say ls1's are trash, yet tell you to buy a camaro. it's not trash in a camaro? also, it's never a waste if its done correctly. my favorite part about the matte black build is that you kept the side mounts. can't wait to see where this build goes.

I'm not a hater of LSx conversion to an FD... And those who does the conversion, some of them knows as much or more than I about rotaries. That being said, me coming from birthplace of LSx FD, I have seen my share of them and at the end (especially now), when C6 Z06 only cost mid 30Ks, I would consider buying an Z06 vs. going through the hassle of converting a 20 year old chassis to have LSx.
All this is personal choice, just as I know some of you think I should put an LSx vs. 3 rotor.

December 13, 2011 - I didn't get much accomplished over the weekend... Kid, wife, holiday season, plus my old house that i'm trying to get rid of is sucking all my spare time I have.

Yesterday, I finally ordered my new wheels for this car from WORK Wheels.

I'll most likely use these on the street and my RAYS/VOLK RE30s on the track.

WORK CR Ultimate is their newest Emotion Series that are much lighter and stronger than previous CR series. I'm super excited to get them and now they are available in 10.5 width.

December 16th, 2011 - I've received some sneak peek pictures of the turbo manifold yesterday. Walker Morgan from www.MPFab.com did an excellent job.

Here are few pics from the pics he sent me!

Its made with Stainless 321, which Walker did his magic on them to look like this... Not sure if many of you seen how 321 comes form suppliers, but they looked horrible.

I'm heading over to the shop on monday to take some high res pictures with my dslr and also bring him the mid pipe and catback for him to test fit to make the DP.

Those of you who haven't heard of MPFab.com, he has worked on several exhaust systems for high end SEMA cars and custom hot rods. He also developed turbo kids for bikes and other sport compact cars.

For more information about them, go visit: www.MPFab.com

This is awesome. Such dedication. Love looking at your collection over the years. Your black FD looked really sick. Can't wait to see how this one looks by the end of your build!

That will be an awesome car! Looks like a great build and I'm anxious to follow your progress.

^ I'm thinking Phil knows that there's a Philadelphia in Mississippi, which is right next door to Alabama, so when he saw TST is in the Philadelphia area, he figured we must be based out of Alabama. Right Phil?
