s3xrapt0rs 03 mitsubishi outlander AWD

i just picked up this outlander last month off my grandpop for 2k.. he got a new outlander sport and offered me it so why not... my other car is an mr2 and its about to be winter and thats just bad news... on top of that it only has 79k ;)

anyway... i found out some cool stuff about these in japan they came with 4g63s (airtrek turbo), AMS did a build on one back in the day.. and its got a 4g64 so a 4g63 head will just about bolt right up.. also its the same suspension as a lancer ralliart.. so alot of fun to have ;)

current mods
6k hids
black duck bill on rear hatch
smoked tails
full undercoat (figured id do it so it wont rust)
full detail (it was VERY dirty when i got it)

my plans
Evo front struts/lancer struts in rear with evo tein springs (5.9 inch drop on an outlander)
rally armor mudflaps
3g eclipse mesh 17s (got these for free off a friend... they need some sanding and new tires)
3k fogs
tint the windows
normal maintenance... i need to change the transfer case and diff oil very soon and get a new flex pipe.. i just did the belts, plugs and coolant flush

Your 'mod list' is missing a DOHC head and Evo turbo kit. Don't know if you forgot to put that, but I figured I'd remind you ;)

thats for down the road ;) i actually found out kia and hyundai made 4g63s in their cars and alot of dsm guys grab those heads for cheap and use them as replacements on evos and 4g64 builds... looking into that since i can get one for pocket change.. if its the same who cares what badge it was under ;) only diffrence is there isnt a tap for the oil feed.. but the spot is still there ready to be drilled and tapped

Yep, I read about that too. You can get 'em for nothin!

And if you're doing the swap, you might as well feed off of the filter housing anyway .

I've been secretly searching for an Outlander for a while just to do Evo struts, head, turbo kit, and daily it. You got yourself a deal!

Hmm...wonder if an evo turbo would fit on this. Would be pretty sweet if it did.

yup it will ! 4g64s and 4g63s are exactly the same flange on the head.. outlander has more room then the evo too !

small update.. nothing huge since i have been busy working on getting my mr2 finished...

rally armor mudflaps installed
shorty antenna installed
purchased projectors to retrofit in stock headlights (ill get to this eventually)
my friend gave me 17 inch 3g eclipse mesh's but im not sure if i like them enough to buy tires for.. we will see

im thinking of getting an exhaust.. not sure thinking of a magnaflow street series or vibrant black.. dont want anything loud.. just a little tone to keep me awake driving to work.. lol my flex pipe has a small leak s oim debating on getting a set of 4g64 eclipse headers or just welding in a new flex pipe..

oh and of course a little bit of trail action :P
