What do you think this car is worth?

I ask because he want to do a straight trade for my LS6/240. And I am intererested, I know am certainly loosing money, but I can live with a certain loss. Also post opinions.

These are the specs, and the pics.

PERFORMANCE
- Full JDM V7 6 Speed Swap
- 18g Turbo (tuned to 16psi low/21psi high)
- DW 650cc Injectores
- Perrin Stealth Kit with FMIC
- Perrin Up-Pipe
- Full 3" Turboback
- Tial 44mm External Wastegate with DUMP TUBE! (SOUNDS SICK!)

SUSPENSION
- Hotbitz Coilovers
- Whiteline Rear Sway Bar
- STi Replica Strut Bars

INTERIOR
- Custom Black Suede Headliner/Pillars/Doorcards

EXTERIOR
- Full Sedan Conversion
- STI V1 Lip
- JDM HID Headlights
- Roof Rail Delete
- Reverse Scoop
- 18x8.5 Gold/Silver Volk CE28's (BEST PART IMHO )
- JDM Rally Roof Vent

And it was tuned by Dave Brown of MSPT in Long Island at NoLimitMotorsports's Dyno Dynamics AWD Dyno and made 355 awhp at 24 PSI!

However, since purchasing it, I have also added a few small things...

-Custom Painted Hella Supertone Horns (Yellow)
-Interior LED Lighting Kit (White)
-License Plate LED Lighting Kit (White)
-RallyArmor UR Mudflaps (Black)
-A few bushings (Klunk Killer, etc.)
-05 Interior Conversion
-Rear Wiper Delete (Still Have the Rear Wiper, looks much cleaner without IMHO)
-Custom front lower/upper/ grills (Black)
-Resprayed the FMIC (Black)
-Shaved front bumper cover, got rid of stock plate mounting location
-Blitz Nur Spec Cat Back

Overall it is an amazingly themed car with very little missing from it. The only thing I had ever really planned on was a 2.5 swap sometime in the future. That would be BADASS

Right now it is actually sitting on a BRAND NEW set of tires, as well. Under 500 miles on them.

That car is absolute SEX......ont the outside.

But, an 18g making 355whp at 24psi on the 2.0L?......Sounds fishy. and i didnt see any forged internals on his mod list, therefore fishy = dangerous. To get 355 from a 2.0L with an 18g he must be running some pretty aggressive timing and that motor is at risk for sure.

Its a good buy tho in other regards. like it has a 6 speed swap, nice to have. If u do get this car, take it to a tuner and have it tuned more safley, from what ive seen 18gs on 2.0s usually wont see much more than 320 if tuned at a reliable level. He said 16-21 psi tho, so he probly has low and high boost maps......not exactly safe at all.

sick car, just make sure it wont break o u if u get it.

if i had to put a price on that wrx, assuming the milage aint insane, id say its worth 10-14k, its deff a solid car

Yeah it is tuned at 16 PSI, but they also tuned her at the 21 mark.

It's a nice car but I don't think it is worth straight trade for your 240. That car is one of my favorite auto's I have ever seen in person.

I have $10 that thing was beat on hard. With stock internals I wouldn't buy/trade. Maybe if the other dude ponied up some money I'd consider though.

There is generally only one reason someone tries to get rid of a car that seems to be to good to be true. Think looks clean as hell and tastefully modded. Maybe the thing guzzles oil, turbo on its way out, trans doesn't feel right. Pretty much anything that you wouldn't really notice on a test drive.

It's the little bus! Definitely a well known car in the subaru community. That is an impressive mod list....12-14k depending on the mileage seems pretty reasonable. Just make sure to have a garage check it over if you're getting serious about buying it. Take it down to area1320, Ryan can help you check any common trouble spots to reaffirm your future purchase.

Not sure if it matters much to you but the subaru community is probably one of the best parts about owning one. I can't believe all of the super cool non ricerific car enthusiasts I've met through owning a subaru. Subaru car meets 99% of the time end up as really cool adventures or outing with a bunch of cool mature individuals rather then giant revving / burnout competitions you'll find in other groups.

You should follow any "recommendation" by "I've never ran this setup, let alone a 2.0L, and I'm just going by posts I've read off the internet." Just to make sure everyone is on the same page.

2.0L WRX's make 320 -330whp all day everyday at 21psi, why is 350 at 24psi surprising?

Ben aka Honestbob ran a 20g that was conservatively tuned and made something in the area of 320-330whp.....he ran that setup until something like 120k miles. It all comes down to maintaining your car and not driving like a moron. He is STILL on the 2.0L and has been running a 30R on his 2.0L for a few months now on the stock motor and trans (Road tune only atm). My point being, don't let people scare you away from the 2.0L.

Random thought:

I'm wondering if he maxed out his injectors on that 350whp @ 24psi run. Those seem small for that kind of power. That or I'm going to completely overkill my 18g setup with my 830cc modded stockers haha

What do you think this car is worth?

Ask him to let you take it to a shop to get checked out. If he's legit, he won't mind. Compression/leakdown test maybe even send an oil sample to one of those places that will do an analysis. Cover your ass or it'll most likely get burned.

Probably a good $26,745.

That's by far the best looking Subaru on this site.
