it was listed for more but after i realized it was a blown HG the price went down. The car still drove home no problem and didnt overheat, but my new parts will start rolling in next week!

saw this thing on bimmerforums... you are a lucky MF'er! though if i went to look at it i would have been pissed about the HG, but you seemed to turn it into a good thing (price wise).

yea i was hoping to have a good running car but a HG really isnt a big deal
im between rebuilding the head with some work from VAC (5angle valve, new retainers, valve springs, Schrick cams, MLS HG, etc) or just buying an S52.

one of my close buddies has a 98, went with cams... now hes looking to go forced induction about a year later. i feel like if you eventually are going to go FI i would forget the cams for now, since most cams that make power n/a don't help when boosted.

I was thinking about going F/I down the road but BMW motors just arent built for it.
People throw on Turbos and S/C's all the time but even then the motor will produce 400-450whp with a crazy set up and low compression setup. The problem is dissipating the heat with these cars... so I am going to stay N/A and aim for 230whp
