Like I said take your dsm expert builder and a Ls1 expert builder and with the same budget and that 4cyl will not win
But in that 15,000 dollar spend limit are we including the price of the car? cause you can get a DSM for penuts and gay sex compared to any LS1 platform.

btw carver when are u gonna do this?

yea man, it really turns the average kid into a mechanic and they actually takes brains to keep together unlike ur typical isle 8 honda or any other car for that matter.

first one to two years of owning a DSM you will have a lot of problems, wont know how to solve the problems, rig **** up, etc etc after 2 years u know everything about them, u start memorizing bolt sizes, thread pitch, u can diagnose almost any problem/fix almost anything on the side of the road, and most importantly after 2 years of sticking with a DSM you can daily drive it comfortably and reliably, because you'll understand things like preventive maintenance and you will know absolutely every tick, click, clank that they make and what they mean.

I like to think of it as an experience and adventure you will never get with any other car but a DSM it will make you understand cars beyond what you ever could imagine and make you car knowledge greater than over 90% of the people out there that are into cars, but owning a DSM is def not for everyone.

yeah yeah yeah. any older car has its problems, and after fixing everything possible in the car. it should run good for a little while. so you think that because someone owns a dsm, they know more then people that work on other cars. i think thats retarded.

This 4G against the world mentality is never going to end. There is zero replacement for displacement, but there's also a reason that domestic guys, and every other car entusiast under the sun ('cepts for those gay Subie dudes haha) have so much respect for EVOs. Regardless of their seeming lack of cylinders, or their bad raps from DSMs, the 4G63T is a serious competitor on every front. It's a classic, just like the LS platforms, and should be respected as such. The reason there's so many hacked DSMs is because every kid with 3K and a 16G can make power, and then break their cars because of lack of knowledge. A local DSMer DDs his low 11sec GSX, just like dude's DD their low number V8's. This battle is going nowhere fast.

No. I think anybody that has stuck with 1 DSM for 2+ years knows and its been there primary transportation knows more about cars then ur average person whose into cars.

DSMs have the wierdest little problems that you would never understand unless you stuck with one for sometime.
