yea its my car, its a 4 point bolt in autopower cage. The cage is coming out tonight though and getting powdercoated laguna seca blue to match the car and probably wont be going back in for 2-3 weeks. The car is going to Shades Of Grey next week for a custom clear bra and im tinting the car darker. Alot darker so you cant see the cage. probaly 5% on the rear windows and 15% on my front 2 windows.

Who is going to match the cage in powdercoat? Just paint it!

If you do go darker on the tint, i'd go with the same on all windows. Personally, I lke the light tint so you can see the cage IMO. Why would you want to hide that?

Yea, I guess so. Ill shoot the cage this weekend if i get around to it.


I wanna go darker just so most of the public (including the cops) cant see the cage. Alot of the tint is scratched cause it was my dd for 18 months and needs to be re tinted anyway so i figured I would go darker. Ill talk it over with Ryan at SOG, see what he thinks and figure it out. I drive with the windows down alot so the cage will be exposed especially in LSB.

yeah but if the tint's darker the cops will pull you over and give you tickets. If it's lighter and they see the cage, what can they do?

After seeing your car, I know I now need a bus vent. I love that thing.

I was also hesitant about buying it and it came out great and i love it. I would have taken you for a ride in the car so you see how much air flow you get but the car barely runs on my break in map haha, when im tuned in the next few weeks ill take you for a spin. Call rallispec, they usually stock them but every once in a while they run out and you have to wait for them to come from japan.

Is it a vent on the roof?? I'de like to vent the hardtop on my miata, but haven't found a clean way to do it yet.

Its been done over seas..mainly on track cars. But i've been wanting something, like a small glass hatch that pops open an inch or 2.

exactly that, its no sunroof but gets the job done haha. theyre only rated to about 50mph but most people run them to 60. 65 is where you start to read about peoples roofs getting ****ed up due to not enough support

Dope. Thanks Even with the windows down, my car doesnt get much air inside the cockpit. Some people replace the side windows with windows that have NACA ducts...but the roof vent on the hardtop is also done. I'll read up on it. The main thing stopping me is cutting up a rare OEM mint condition hardtop haha
