I ran both Bolt-on and T3 housings. Oil feed originally came from the OFH on my very 1st holset. Shortly after, I had to rebuild it...after that I've always ran the feeds from the head supply. Since that 1st holset, i've yet to see another oil issue. If you creep back a few posts you'll see my issues were turbine wheels melting. I've always bought authentic Holsets so counterfeit parts are out of the question. If I picked up another DSM, despite my troubles, I would probably still slap a pro-40 on and just keep the boost moderate....and hopefully not hate myself for it.

Did you ever dyno or track your car with the holset on it?

I only ran my holset car once, but it was my first ever time at the track. Best I could get was a 12.5 @118, I was running a gutted 2G maf, had a leaky BOV, and leaky TB seals. When I just switched the MAF (To a 2G non gutted with all the honey combs) my airflow readings went from a 42lbs/min to 52 lbs/min at 30psi (where exactly where it should be for a 56mm 8 blade hx35), car started running a lot stronger, after I fixed all the dumb problems, I got to run a 11.50 GN from a dig in mexico on slicks and meth and we were dead freakin even. PM me if you wanna see the video.

Unfortunately I never got to run it again after that, I really am trying to run this year at the shootout on the new set up, since they don't tech and I don't think my car will pass tech at any track near us

I am with you Nick. The Holsets ran great and for a while at levels below 30psi. Between 35-40psi they let got often. The S362 I ended with on my old 1G never missed a beat, but it was a true BW and not BEP.

1g Head is @ the machine shop and my HX35 is in for new seals and wheel as we speak. then its getting run off the head. EFF the ofh and those shenenigans.

lol you think its a monster at 12? wait till you crank this thing to over 20, on my DSM with the hx35 the power increase going from 10-20 was so much less significant than going from 20-22. These things love boost.

My 56mm billet hx40 at 25psi right now, DSMlink is showing an HP estimation of 560-580 (don't know how accurate it is but the car does feel fast) and air flow numbers at 58lbs/min. Still gotta squeeze another 5psi out of it, really dont wanna blow it up before the shootout since I am running a stock motor.
