I'm a sell-out. I buy the stuff you can't possibly mess up- like crescesnt wrenches, sockets, allen keys- at harbor freight for next to nothing, and then if and when it should break or get lost, I don't lose sleep over it; another couple bucks and I've got a brand new one. The precison stuff like torque wrenches I get from Craftsman or Snap on. As for a box, Walmart. I just can't justify the rediculous prices of MAC and Snap-On while I'm just a driveway mechanic.

Anyways, howdy all.

From the friends that I've had go through the program, they do that so that you're more inclined to buy 2x the tools.

When did you pick up the Evo, Ang? How do you like it?

All of this hinges on me fixing hte 540 and getting it out of the garage so I can get the lawn mower and other equipment out. And the pool is really getting green.
no manuals should be needed except maybe to find a hidden bolt/torque specs. Most of what we would be doing is unbolt/rebolt.

I bought two tickets. Keith said he doesn't want to go. So, as it stands, I need an accomplice.

Ask Ndubz, I'm sure he'd be a total gentleman. And Keith would be cool with that, right?

I got the car about a month ago. I traded in the 07 sti.

Your insight about getting a trophy is very true. A socket from the dollar store would be more than i would ever need. There is some thing about the "pro" brand and using them when i worked for my dad's friend in highschool and picking through his box makes me want to have something similar now.

I swear by HF, Craftsman, and Husky.

I use the **** out of my HF Wrenches and ratchets, pliers/cutters, and breaker bars, Craftsman ratchets and sockets, and husky screwdrivers.

I have some snap on and matco that i've been handed down from when my father was in the business, but they're all the same to me.

Only think i DONT like about craftsman is how they rebuild the ratchets and dont give you a new one anymore. I'll stick with my HF Composite handle ratchets.

As for tool chests: dont cheap out. I have a 40" ball bearing 13 drawer chest. I can stand in the drawers and the thing wont bend. I bought it from a company in Delaware called "Greg Smith Equipment Sales" Its essentially the same 40" box they have at harbor freight, but i got it cheaper.

My dad has all sorts of brands of tools. Has a Craftsman tool chest in his garage and also one of the enclosed trailers. Also has a real nice John Force edition Mac Tools box. The thing is nice. I'd say you would be good with Craftsman.

Ugggghhhhhh. Funny thing is that he probably would be because he's scared to say or do anything in person.
