do you have a cheap one now? every MBC i have owned has had a bit of boost creep... from my turbo xs.. to my halman. even the build in one to my ewg gets some boost creep.

if you dont hold solid boost then a ebc that can correct that.

I'm going to try a hallman pro from my friend's car this weekend and see how it does, if I like it I'll order one.

Hallman pro is probably one of the best boost controllers out there especially for the money, dsm and evo guys have been using them for years without problems. The Pro RX is made for cars running lower boost, i would look into that as well and see if it fits your needs better.

Why not just go MegaSquirt...has everything you need for the turbo, and gives you complete control of the car.

Don't want to get involved with the wiring mess, nor do I want to pay someone else to put it in for me, besides I don't think they make a P&P MS system for my car, or ay OBD2 car for that matter.

They had plans to make one...guess they didnt find it worth it to keep going with production. O well. EBC it up! Maybe look into a wideband too.

Im probbably going to borrow one and just run it for a week to monitor the AFrs across the range to know if I have any weak spots, I don't know if it makes sense buying one since engine/power mods are pretty much done, that $300+ can be better used somewhere else.

I'll keep you posted. Realistically though, there's no need for one. Cars with the same mods put out consistently healthy AFrs, full bolt-on cars make ~200whp with 11.5-12 at high RPM under full load. Here is a dyno graph with A/F ratios of a bolt-on MSM

http://flyinmiata.com/tech/dyno_runs/MSM_intake_2.pdf

I've still gotta get the exhaust made next and then the bolt-on process will be complete.

the Flyin Miata exhaust is $600...and 23 whp dyno proven over and over. With there DP that you have, thats a superb combo and legit parts. Not to mention it will sounds amazing. I say save up loner, and go wit a real kit. Your not going to get anything near as good as that from a local shop. Do it once, do it right..You did a "custom" exhaust on your civic too, then changed it. You did a "custom" exhaust on your miata to...now you wanna change it. Do somthing right, so on page 135 we dont have to help you pick another exhaust.

What I did to my Miata before was just to hold me over sound wise till I got a real system. This new custom catback will be straight, then a smooth 45 at the diff and another long smooth 45 to lead the pipe to the stock outlet rather than the retarded bends the stock system has. Should sound great and be good for more horses and be 1/2 the price of the FM unit, plus I want to be unmuffled.
