For the price BOSS 302's are selling for, I'd rather buy a 2012 5.0 GT with 3.73's and Brembos then do the suspension and other track use upgrades myself.
Thank you, that's the argument I always bring up with people. I'd rather get a GT and do suspension the way I want it.

I'm thinking, GT as well.

So I have another delay in getting the new car. The previous owner and I were told by the bank that the bank is in possession of the title and the bank would mail the title to me by overnight mail when it the car was paid off. Apparently the bank lied and they didn't have the paper title. The bank was issued an electronic title by PENDOT, not a paper title. When the bank notified PENDOT that the car was paid off, PENDOT mailed the title to the current owner by regular mail. Hopefully, the title will arrive by Saturday and I can register this weekend.

Crown Vic or Marauder?

I mean, could be but neither of those cars handle well and Chris likes the track.

There once was a 5.0 police interceptor, which he could build into a track rat.

Only other police car used in PA that I'm aware of are the Chevy ****boxes, but they're FWD.

Here is the replacement car build thread:
http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...d.php?t=115433

I'll miss the 2008 GT and I loved the color combination. The Dark Candy Apple Red metallic was only available for 2 model years and wasn't a common color. Also the Chamios & Black leather interior was interior color option that was on 0.27% of all mustangs produced in 2008.

That's me lol. I know you're going to miss the 08 and we're going to miss seeing you in it but you're not exactly taking a step down with the new Mustang.

Just when I thought everything was finished with this car it isn't.

Back in July, the track day insurance company sent me the title to the Mustang with some sort of note that said, "No record on file. This belongs to you. Sorry it was sent to us in error."

Obviously I was confused about this. So I called the guy that handled my claim and after playing phone tag for a week, I found out that PENDOT sent the title to the wrong division of the company. He gave me his work address to send the title to him. I thought everything was over, but i was wrong.

I got an email form the same guy that handled my claim saying that for them to sell the car on copart.com I need to sign a power of attorney document and get it notarized, giving power of attorney for the car over to them even though they already have the title. I'm rather confused by this because I've had other cars totaled in accidents and so did my friends and none of us had to sign a power of attorney document for the insurance company to sell the car.

At this point I wish everything with this car was over, but I'm going to ask them to pay the notary fees.

I received a letter at the end of September 2011 from Copart.com telling me that if I don't send them the title to the 2004 Mustang I own that is in their yard, I need to pay them the storage fees. I called them back and told them I never owned a 2004 Mustang, but I did own a 2008 Mustang which was totaled in an accident and that the title was in the possession of the insurance company and that the insurance company also has power of attorney over the car.

I never heard back from Copart again but I did keep an eye out for my car on their web site. I never saw it, but it did pop up recently on some other salvage car web sites.

http://www.ridesafely.com/Inventory....yID=1110143720

http://www.salvage-cars-for-sale.inf...08-MTY0OTkyOTE

It looks like someone stole the shift knob. Its an aftermarket shifter with a different thread pattern and the shift knob doesn't fit most Mustang shifters.

Overall the experience was long and drawn out. The track day insurance company agent that was handling my claim never had experience with this type of claim before and he usually handles structural property and boat insurance claims. It really shouldn't have been an experience that lasted from April 2011 to the end of September 2011 to be completely done with everything. However I'm glad I did purchase the track day insurance.
